Overview

Styling for a night of ritual

Yalda Night — the Persian winter solstice celebration — is built around warmth, gathering and deep colour: pomegranates, candlelight, red wine. For Patan Jameh, I styled a seasonal capsule that translated that mood into a small, gift-ready collection.

The Challenge

Seasonal without feeling costume-y

Festival-specific styling can easily read as one-night novelty. The brief was to design pieces guests would actually want to rewear well beyond a single evening.

The Approach

Warmth as a colour story

I anchored the palette in pomegranate red and aged gold, then paired heavier velvets with lighter knitwear so every piece could be dressed up for Yalda or worn separately through the rest of winter.

Styling boards were shared with the Patan Jameh team early, letting us adjust proportions and fabric choices before sampling — keeping the two-week timeline realistic without rushing fit.

Results

A capsule that sold through

The Yalda capsule became one of Patan Jameh's strongest seasonal sell-throughs, and the colour story has since carried into later collections as a signature winter palette for the brand.
